Sports Pro Media – Premier League clubs consider fake crowd noise for closed matches

Rights holders globally are planning for live sports broadcasts of closed matches with fake crowd noise designed to boost the production quality.

Clubs in English top-flight soccer’s Premier League discussed the issue at their most recent meeting. Paul Barber, Brighton chief executive, revealed some of his club’s thinking on presentation of matches without fans, which included altering the look of the seating and bringing in crowd noise.
